Hand Made Tropical Wood Tasting Spoon
From winter soups to summer salsas, these pretty pieces are ideal for sampling while cooking, as well as serving up compotes and jellies at the table. Every custom work is made with sustainably sourced Mexican cocuite wood by a family of master artisans. Created with rustic tools, then smoothed to perfection, these spoons are treated with a natural beeswax polish to encourage sheen and protection – the ideal addition to a conscious home.
Artisans
This family has been working with local tropical woods for generations. They create both their own designs, and custom pieces including bowls, plates, utensils and sculptural candle holders. As the natural environment is important to them, they take great care to only work with woods that are locally accessible and do not damage the environment.

Care
For best care results, this knife should be washed by hand in cool water without bleach or harsh soaps, then dried with a towel. Do not wash in the dishwasher. In order to maintain the sheen, treat with linseed oil from time to time.
